Four words: for KING & COUNTRY

If you haven't already heard these guys on Klove, you have gotta check 'em out!

Ok, with that out of the way.. whew. Where did February go!? If you happen to know, please do share! :)
For the lack of time we are going to break down the couple weeks with highlights..

~ ATF - also know as Aquire the Fire. My brother and I went to KC for a weekend of worship, learning, and fun. Aquire the Fire is a youth based concert/conference thing. It was a great experience.

~ My mom and dad's anniversary! 21 years <3

~ For my science class everyone is required to give a speech pertaining to something that we are studying, and mine was lastweek! I spoke about evolution vs. Creastion. It went very well :)

~ I got somewhat of a job! Lastweek I was a nanny for 3 kids - boy was that fun!

~ This last Friday I went to Winter Jam with my aunts and cousins - great concert!

So that is the month of February wrapped up for ya. :)

I'd like to close with a verse that has been on my heart for the past week:

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your innerself, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Which is of great worth in God's sight.

Gotta Love Technology....NOT

Apparently this wonderful world of technology decided to DELETE every single post, EXCEPT 2, on my whole blog..... just a little irritating. So I am just going to suck it up and start over with this blog. Haha. :)

So today is yet another Wednesday.. this week seems to be going by pretty slow if you ask me.
Today my siblings and I ran errands with my grandpa around Wichita. We went to lunch, Walmart, and then went to visit both great-grandmas! And then went over to church to help with serving dinner - which we do every Wednesday. We normally get there around 2 and stay till 8ish (depending on how much clean-up we have). I love every minute of it! They people I get to work with are awesome.. they are like family to me! :)
After we get dinner served the pastor shares a message with the folks that ate dinner there - I usually try to sit in on them. Tonight's message was really great. It was about - well...I forgot the exact verse... but where it talks about the meek will inherent the earth. And what it means to be meek. I always thought being meek meant you didn't talk or were shy. But it is actually quite different then that.. it relates more to knowing when to talk, being humble, and to pick and choose your words wisely - along with picking your battles wisely. The whole message was great. I wish I would have remembered those verses though!
Anywho! This weekend is gonna be pretty awesome... Friday or Saturday (depending on the weather) I will be doing a couple photoshoot!! Saturday night I am going out with my mom and some friends with their moms to go to dinner and do some much needing shopping time :) Sunday will be church, flea market, and then a GRAND super bowl party at our house! Boo-yah!

Well I guess I better hit the hay.. long day of school tomorrow.. :)
I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow! Oh, one more thing.. I have no idea who reads these things.. but if you have any prayer requests please email me or leave a comment below.. I'd love to be praying for you.

For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talking; it is living by God's power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

Awaiting His return,

The. Countdown. Is. On. t-24 days

Today is December 1st of 2011! That means only 24 days until Christmas! Over the last couple years, Christmas has taken on a whole new meaning for me... I feel strange making a "list of all the gifts I want or "need". I am realizing that Christmas is SO MUCH MORE that buying gifts, getting gifts, the great food, or the warm, cozy feeling we get when we put up our decorations - not that all that stuff is bad! It's great! But I think we have lost site of what Christmas truly is. It is about the day Jesus Christ was born. WAIT A SECOND.. Yes, I said when Jesus Christ was born!!! Isn't that just amazing!? We hear this over and over, ever single year we hear about this, about this baby that was born in a manger.. and grew up to be the savior of the world...etc. No! It is not etc., Jesus Christ was born for YOUR sins, to save YOU, to love YOU! This should not be taken to lightly! How can we hear this and not be moved? Not have unspeakable joy!?
I hope and pray that our focus takes a 360 degree turn this year, and that our eyes our open to the miricale that happened on that day in the stables.

"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he WILL save his people from their sins."

Busy, Busy, Busy, Wednesday!

If you haven't noticed, it is Wednesday! Not only is it normally a busy day in my week, but it is also the day after our family vacation! So it was been even crazier. Trying to catch up with homework, unpacking, cleaning, and then getting ready to head to church for the evening.
Every Wednesday my siblings and I help serve the weekly dinner at our church in Wichita. It is quite the job cooking for and then serving, usually, over 100 people - but I love it! It has been great getting to know some of the people that come there; eventhough not one of them is my age. Haha :)

Family vacation was great! Normally families go on vacation with just "their" family (mom, dad, kids). Not ours! The whole gang goes! Grandparents, Aunt & Uncle, and cousins! It is quite the trip! This year we went up to Kansas City for four days. While we were up there, we packed in tons of shopping, Christmas Light tour, Great Wolf Lodge, the Money Museum, the only WWI memorial in the world, and most of all - awesome family time.
At the hotel we stayed at, it has 12 floors and the middle of the hotel is sort of like hollowed out... so we dropped bouncy balls down from the 12th floor... yep. It was pretty much awesome. :) Even though it was a great weekend; I am so glad to be home!!

Below are some pictures from the Kansas City:
